We take real pride in what we do – and how we do it, this includes how we treat our planet and our community.
At Colourpoint we are committed to the ongoing ethical and sustainable treatment of the environment and being responsible for our staff and the communities in which we operate.
As more and more of our customers demand to work with suppliers who can demonstrate their commitment to ethical environmental practices, Colourpoint are working hard to ensure that we confidently meet the needs of our customers by creating a more sustainable business. To demonstrate our commitment, we have achieved the several statutory and regulatory accreditations.
We are also continually looking for new ways to improve on the type of materials we use. We ensure that all the papers we use are FSC® certified (Forest Stewardship Council®), giving us the confidence of knowing that it comes from sustainable sources. Wherever possible we use paper packaging and paper tape, and we are seeing a shift towards biodegradable laminates and other more sustainable packaging materials.
We produce highly recyclable waste streams with an intrinsic value and as such we have thorough disposal processes to, not only produce an environmental benefit but also a business one.
The graph here shows how we are doing in terms of our waste recycling currently, whilst we are constantly striving to improve on reducing our impact on the environment.
We monitor what we are currently recycling and we are constantly looking at how we can improve.
Colourpoint believe in supporting and giving back to our local community here in Bourne End, Bucks and beyond. Below are some of the initiatives we are currently involved in:-
Local ‘litter’ picking initiatives – just prior to Lockdown the directors and staff took part in a local litterpick in Bourne End supported by local company Simply Waste Solutions. It was great to give something back to our local community and we hope to do more in the future.
We support the Wycombe Resource Zone by donating all of our scrap paper, ribbons, foils and more, which are all then donated on to local schools, charities and other local groups.
Our Christmas campaign last year included a donation to the Stanborough Park Church for their ‘Homeless Soup Run’, a charity which was chosen by the winner of our Christmas Competition.
We will continue to support local charities and are always happy to get involved with any other community-based programmes.
We encourage everyone at Colourpoint to play their part in the management and delivery of our environmental sustainability policy. All of our staff share in our commitment to protecting our environment, and to making their own contribution.
